The Ronk Add-A-Phase Type K-Duo Phase Converter is a static phase converter designed for use with two or more motors, or to provide redundancy of a single motor in critical applications.
AVAILABLE STANDARD MODELS
- 2K: 1PH 240V to 3PH 240V; Converter HP Options of 3-80 hp.
- 2K-8: 1PH 240V to 3PH 208V; Converter HP Options of 3-50 hp.
- 3K: 1PH 240V to 3PH 480V; Converter HP Options of 3-80 hp.
- 4K: 1PH 480V to 3PH 480V; Converter HP Options of 3-80 hp.
AVAILABLE OPTIONS
- K-SUB: Operate 2 pump motors with higher than standard FLA rating.
- K-AC: Operate 2 air conditioning compressor motors.
- K-SP: Operate 2 motors with different HP ratings.
- L: Operate 3 motors (trio).
- Q: Operate 4 motors (quad).
- N: Operate 5 motors (penta).
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
- Compressors: air conditioning and associated motors.
- General applications.
- Sewage lift stations and booster pumps.
FEATURES
- Operates multiple motors to their full load rating, plus normal overload.
- Limits inrush current when the motors are starting, a critical factor on most single phase lines.
- Can be adjusted to provide balanced currents to multiple motors operating at a constant horsepower load.
- Can be designed to handle three to five motors either separately or simultaneously.
- Variations are available to handle motors with higher than standard FLA ratings, motors with different HP ratings, and other applications.
- Can be used to offer redundancy in critical applications – any failure in one of the convertors leaves the others to operate the system until repairs can be made.
- Housed in a NEMA 3R outdoor enclosure.
- UL Listed.
- Three-Year Limited Warranty.
