Trystar LP400-600 Portable Load Bank (400-600kW)

The Trystar LP400-600 Portable Resistive Load Bank offers load capacities up to 400, 500, or 600 kW in a portable package.

• LP400 Load Capacity: Up to 400kW at 480VAC, 3-Phase, 60Hz; 400kW at 240VAC, 3-Phase, 60Hz. Derates at lower voltages.
• LP500 Load Capacity: Up to 500kW at 480VAC, 3-Phase, 60Hz; 500kW at 240VAC, 3-Phase, 60Hz. Derates at lower voltages.
• LP600 Load Capacity: Up to 600kW at 480VAC, 3-Phase, 60Hz; 487.5kW at 240VAC, 3-Phase, 60Hz. Derates at lower voltages.
• Full Load Amps at 400kW: 481 Amps at 480 VAC, 961 Amps at 240 VAC.
• Full Load Amps at 500kW: 601 Amps at 240 VAC, 1202 Amps at 240 VAC.
• Full Load Amps at 600kW: 721 Amps at 480 VAC.
• Full Load Amps at 487.5kW: 1173 Amps at 240 VAC.
• Duty Cycle: Rated for continuous operation.
• Load Step Resolution: 5kW minimum at 480VAC.
• Controls: Main Power On/Off switch, Blower Start/Stop push buttons, Fan-Phase Reversal switch (ABC-OFF-ACB), Master Load On/Off switch and individual Load Step Switches (KW On/Off) provided for each load step. Dual Voltage units feature Blower Voltage Selector switch (208-240, Center-Off, 440-480) and Load Voltage Selector Switch (208-240, CenterOff, 440-480). Illuminated indicators provided for Power On, Blower On, Motor Overload, Air-Flow Failure, Over-Temperature, Load Dump, and Wrong Voltage Applied. Emergency Stop push button.
• Digital Power Meter (M): Fully equipped, 3-phase Digital Metering System that measures a standard range of 16 load parameters. Includes RS485 (Modbus protocol) for remote reading – compatible with PC, PLC, and data loggers.
• Control Power: External 120 Volt AC, 1-phase, 10 Amp source. A 15’ detachable line cord is provided.
• Cooling Power: From internal main input load bus.
• Cooling System: Integrally mounted blower motor with high-performance, direct-driven fan blade delivers the required airflow volume (CFM) for cooling resistor load elements. Cooling airflow is drawn from the screened air-intake side, with hot air vertically exhausted from the top of the unit away from personnel.
• Load Elements: PowerDyne™ Resistor Load Elements provide the necessary KW load rating for each load step. Resistors are fully supported across their entire length within the air stream by stainless steel support rods which are insulated with heavy-duty, high-temperature ceramic insulators.
• Safety Features: Over-Temperature / Airflow failure protection. Fuses for short-circuit protection.
• Load Connections: Quick connect-disconnect color-coded male cam-type power connectors with protective snap-back covers. (3 per Phase, 1 Ground).
• Enclosure: Constructed of galvanized steel with powder coat paint finish. Heavy-duty caster wheels are provided for easy positioning and moving.
